Bhaskar Jyoti Sengupta, a name, popular with the elocutionist of this genre, as a Respected Teacher and Organiser, born on 01.09.1942 in Calcutta.He had a penchant for performing arts like drama and elocution since his childhood.Besides his career in Senior Management of M/s India Foils Limited, he pursued his passion  through Abritti Parishad, Calcutta, Srinwantu Natyagosthi, Anuranan and Shabda Shilpi, the last two being his brain children. In Abritti Parishad, true to the aim of the organisation, he  brought fore a number of reputed persona to the limelight. In 1999, when this umbrella organisation of elocutionists and audio-dramatists, Bachik Shilpi Sanstha was formed, he was one of the founder members along with other legends.After that till he was with us, he bore the  onerous position of Vice President of this organisation for several years with utmost seriousness and devotion. He had a special inclination to the pronunciation of Bengali words and authored a book on about 100 rules on the subject alphabetically. This book is considered invaluable to the beginners in this field.He always used to stress upon the workshop style of exchanges between the learners and Teacher in this performing arts.

He left for his heavenly abode on 26.03.2020.
